blogrush - final statement
thats my last post about it. i'll never post anything about this site again. never, because im sick of those auctionads like scam services, launched by well known networkers to get big traffic and sell it fast or doing whatever with it. i mean the ideas are neat but not well implemented. let me drift off here, a bit. take auctionads for example. ebay supports 23 countries in 15 languages so why the fuck is it only in english and only for ebay.com? why isnt it geotargeted? what is so hard to program to let it support the visitors language. you can (i could) implement this in a few hours, max. a day. another point that makes me angry is that they support only ebay.com registrated conversions. means if your traffic is from england or spain and they clicking on a auctionads ad and sign up on ebay.uk or ebay.es, you'll get no money. i couldnt cant confirm that, i also dont want to try it because it would just make me more angry and would explain why so many tell they making zero or near zero money with it.

credits left: 362
impressions: 8,429
click: 4
one of the clicks was from http://local/ so my calculator says if i substract those useless clicks i made... 2,544... 3 clicks. thats a CTR of 0.00035%. what a tsunami of traffic. but no worry, the webserver i still up, no crash, yet.
another funny thing: i guess, i was the first one who faked the stats. means there must be 8,000 (5,000 * 3,000, both test runs) requests from the same ip but my account isnt deactivated or anything similar.

i guess you all read shitmonkeys blog, what means you read his posting on september 19th, 2007 about him talking to john r. - in this posting he wrote:

lets zoom into those numbers:
40,000,000 headlines / 5 days = 8,000,000 headlines per day
now here comes the part that made me laugh a bit:
8,000,000 / 5 headlines per widget = 1,600,000 widgets served per day
now we look at the blogrush stats published by shitmonkey:

you can read he created 672,465.25 impressions in 4 days from 600 blogs who signed up under his referral id. i still cant find a reason why the number is not even but nevermind, probably a few not 1:1 relations. but im calculating now with 600 1:1 relations, what means 672,465.25 are 672,465.25 real impressions.
672,465.25 impressions / 4 days = 168,116.3125 impressions from 600 blogs per day
168,116.3125 impressions per day / 600 blogs = 280 impressions per blog each day (rounded)
taking the 280 impressions per blog per day as base for every blog in the system:
1,600,000 widgets served per day / 280 impressions per blog per day = 5714 blogs (rounded)
i guess, because of the shitmonkey stats from above, im missing the big blogs with many, many more impressions a day. like shitmonkey with (as the stats tell, 53,881 impressions / 3.7 days, 3.7 because i guess he doesnt started at 0:00am) 14,562 impressions a day what means he has probably (including a unknown number of rss readers) 8,000 readers each day. im also doesnt count users with more than one blog.
but that would just shrink the count of blogs anyway.
so where are the 15,000 still growing users?
i dont want to say somebody is lying here, i dont know it. i could also calculate it from the other site taking the 15,000 users as base.
15,000 users * 280 impressions per blog per day = 4,200,000 impressions a day
thats 2.6 times more than the 1,600,000 impressions per day with 40,000,000 impressions in 5 days as john r. said. that tells us his posting on income.com must be titled "Over 100,000,000 Blog Headlines Served".
now who is right here? john r. with around 6,000 blogs or shitmonkey with 15,000 users, what john r. told him.
btw. i like john r., seriously. he looks like a fuckin nice dude, he wrote so much stuff, i would say he's the reason why ebooks became so famous in the networker/affiliate scene. he writes not cutting edge stuff but he explains fundamentals to idiots who finally understanding it, making money with it and being happy about it.
im also not angry at shitmonkey. i mean he made a huge deal with auctionads. big kudos to sell this shit. i mean its nothing special and ebay has the "ebay relevance ads" system already running in europe since, i guess, more then a year now but he gave his seo crazy sheeps something to play with and something to make their life a bit easier. i also like to bitch about him because he doesnt wrote a good article in the last 6 month and he also does to many "what links convert best with my sheep traffic"-experiments, see for example the sedo.com partnerid link in the "parfume.org" post.
... and guys, please dont publish this blog like crazy. i want to keep this blog under the radar and im not so happy about seeing it on digitalpoint or the warriorforum. thanks ;)

I was partying late last night with blog rush creator John Reese last. He is also here in attendance at the tc40 conference. He had to abruptly leave this morning as he felt he just had to be there at home for blogrush. Even though he had a very competent staff in place they had some many new users (I think the number was like 15,000) the first day…. something crazy.the number was "like" 15,000 new users at the first day, keep that in mind.
on september 20th, 2007 john r. wrote on his own blog at income.com:
We’re about 5 days into the launch of BlogRush and its growth has been nothing short of EXPLOSIVE. We’ve served over 40 MILLION blog headlines (i.e. blog post titles and links to the full post.) And each day that passes is serving more than the previous day — it’s truly growing virally.40,000,000 headlines in 5 days. sounds awesome.

I’ve got 8 clicks for 3 (in words - THREE) impressions. It seems BlogRush is the first RANDOM affiliate program out there! Awesome, doesn’t it? Or maybe we just need to decrease impressions to negative number?
Can’t touch this… Can’t touch this…

There is no point explaining the maths behind this.
Shoemoney, John Chow etc. deal strictly in hype.
They factory farm “mini bloggers” and squeeze them for everthing they possibly can.
By the time those bloggers figure out what happened, SM, JC are already working on the next crop….
Had fun with your script BTW, but it has been a complete waste of time in terms of generating traffic…. blog rush isn’t even worth spamming……

talking about negative credits..I already have -1 credits because I didn’t give a hand to the service and didn’t even touch there widget on any site even once :D
